The words of the little me-5

Friends, this is the very last time that you'll find master Abhishek yield his pen on my blog. Hope your journey with him has been great. So i present you the very last time, Master Abhishek...

Hi all. This is the very last time that you'll be seeing my words. I'm a bit sad but what can I do, bhaiya has to go to IIT on Monday. But nevertheless hope you this one. It's titled 'mother earth'

Our mother Earth,

is the best of all.
She pulls us up,
not letting us fall.

She is made of

water and land
holding us all
in her hand.

She is nice,
beautiful and green.
We should d our best
to keep her clean.

She gives us food
to drink and eat.
Now she is heavy,
we should make her a seat.

Bye all...

The bullet marks on the wall

Well friends you may have guessed it by the title that I'll be taking you all to Jallianwala Bagh today. It really grieved my heart to see those marks as it reminded me of General dyer and his infamous deed. Hope his soul never rests in peace......

The only sound to be heard that day
was of those deadly bullets that Dyer fired
it even deadened the sound of the screaming
of the poor Indians who got killed that day

13th April was the date that day
the Indians had just gathered in a silent procession
but Dyer had to show off the English strength
for which he could get no better day

when all people unaware of the curfew that day
had come to the jallianwala bagh for a meeting
Dyer then sealed the only enrance and
killed nearly 1000 people in a single day

Alas, it was really a tragic day
people running here and there to save their lives
but with the only entrance sealed
many jumped into the well that day

1650 rounds of bullets were fired that day
on a harmless crowd of nearly 15000
who just wanted to protest against the rowlatt act
but it was simply the wrong day

Why have i emphasised the word day?
cos that's the most important thing to be remembered
it was 13.04.1919 that all this happened
and I salute those who were martyered this very Day.

A dip of holiness

Continuing with my Amritsar tip I would today take you all to the sacred and glorious Golden Temple. Though my title may have been literal for many there who actually took a dip in the holy lake not even caring about the chilling weather that too at 4AM. Nevertheless for me the title is metaphoric. just being there was like drowning in holiness. A blanket of peace and serenity surrounds us and we experience ultimate bliss. Well, let me explain.......

It was very early that morning(3 AM)
the sky outside was all black
I was sure I was dreaming
because me getting up early
chances were slack :D

But who could have neglected god's call
we all got ready in that early hour
and reached in time to get the shuttle
which took us to the golden temple at 4
which from our hotel was not very far

We reached there early and fresh
and quickly removed our footwear
then into the temple we went
after having washed our feet
in a small pool in open air

Once inside the world seemed to become quiet
all seemed pure and serene
the godly feeling lulled over us
as if we had a hand on our head and

eyes watching every scene

We took a round around the main temple
took prasad and finally entered
as we went closer the more holy it all felt
and once we were in the main chamber

only on god was my attention centered

the pull of the feeling was very strong
and I sat just there for a long while
and soon even saw Guru Granth Sahib
being brought in a grand procession
which made my heart silently smile

Then I silently made my depart
though unwillingly but I was finally out
eating the prasad of halwa
which tasted like the best thing I had ever had
in all it was all heavenly without doubt.

Unhoisting the flag

Well readers, its been many days since I came back from Amritsar but its today that I'm going to write a post on my experience there. Today I'm going to elaborate my visit to wagah border and the retreat ceremony that occurs everyday there in the evening done jointly by the Indian and Pakistani soldiers. I must say 1 thing before I start, that to experience true patriotism one must visit wagah border once. Rest you can see now......

You must have seen many a times
the Indian flag being hoisted in ceremonies
But it was the 1st time I saw it being unhoisted

in a ceremony just as much grand
that too where both borders stand

Both of course refers to India and Pakistan
where else did you expect such a drama
but what a show it was I must admit
i didn't feel a little bit bored
and the spirit of patriotism simply soared

You may not be getting the feel right now
but once you see the guards march
and the crowd sing national songs with unity and joy
you feel a surge of energy in you
one feels that you should do something for our country too

The faces of the soldiers are something to be seen
filled with intense anger and emotion is what we can clearly see
it shows that they can do anything for the country
be it giving their own lives or taking others
but pledged they have to protect this lands' daughters and mothers

Well what to say about the actual ceremony
people were singing and dancing with joy
and the soldiers made great formations
but the best was the exact coordination on both sides
and the beat of their foots came as strong tides

then there was a small competition going on
as to which side's general could shout for a longer time
and see who stopped first and who went on
the winning side then erupted in a roar
and expected wins some more

In about 30 minutes or so
the flags were finally unhoisted
while doing so each side felt great respect for its nation
tears welled up in many eyes
and I urge even you all to go there to see what there lies

The words of the little me-4

Well folks, this is the 2nd last time that I'll be allowing master Abhishek to write something. But nevertheless I hope you'll still remember him and his sweet little poems :)

Hi all! I would like to say something about my poem today. I don't want to hurt anyone but I do not really understand the reason of this unexceptional fame that cricket seems to claim. Why should it be allowed to crow over all other sports in India especially Hockey which is our national game. So with this thought in mind I present before you all this small poem on 'Cricket'.......

Cricket is a game
which has a great fame
though it has nothing in it

its just the ball we have to hit

It has a bat and a ball
and eleven players to call
Some stumps and wicket
ready to be hit

The fielders fill the ground
the bowler ready to throw the ball round
the bats men ready with their long bat
the keeper ready to leap on the ball like a cat

The batsmen making runs fast
but the bowlers not letting them long last
When all bats men are gone
the teams change inside the lawn

Then the other bowls and the other bats
ready to fight like dogs and cats
So you see it is a silly game
and has a silly fame

Bye all...

PS
1) As you might've noticed the little boy of sixth has reached ninth now :D
2) Cricket lovers please don't be enraged. I do understand that this post came at a really wrong time especially after Sachin's feat but its all the buzz about cricket that made him write this.

Rendezvous 2010

Just came back after a short visit to IIT(which explains the long gap since the last post). Witnessing the inter IIT was great and the cultural nights were awesome.
Well as voted for in the post 'Behind the web' today's topic will definitely be Rendezvous 2010. Though it'll be very difficult to explain the fun and enjoyment we had, in words, but I'll try my best......

Rendezvous, ah well, where should I start I don't know
Every moment in it was extremely memorable
Night outs proved even better than the days where bakait
Dudes like us were sprawled across the insti each chatting their own fables.
Events like kaleidoscope, blitzkrieg, spectrum and pro nite were awesome
Zeal was something that was not lost by anyone those 4 days
Variety of competitions occurred before the excitement at night
Of course, many were great fun like the group songs and the plays
Using mental skills one could even win some quizzes and word games
Sleep was something that came to no one but not one got fatigued.
2 days will always be remembered by me 1 when, of my friends
0 had got passes but still they were somehow(can't be revealed) entered
1 more was the night when came the great KK to rock our soul.
0 are the reasons I have to not be waiting for he next installment of this rock and roll.

The words of the little me-3

Well its Thursday again my friends and this time I remembered the day and hence I am handing you all over to the little me. So here we go. Enjoy!!!

Hi all!!! I am back and this time on the right day :). I am going to go a bit serious today and write a poem of mine which holds a message. Hope you like it and follow it. So here's my poem titled 'Usage of Mind'.

Everyone has a mind
which we just has to wind
and get it started
so that it does not get parted

When we'll use it

we'll never fall in a pit
of mud or sand
and get a helping hand

To use it is a must

or it'll get rust
and will fill with dust
so please trust

So please believe me

because usage of mind is the key
to success for me
and for you also it will be.

Bye all!!!

Behind the web

Well as I had said "expect a post on web development soon", so here it is.
Phew! It feels great after having completed my latest task and it feels even better to see my pieces of codes work. It really feels really great being behind the curtain and see the actual pain taken to produce a decent web page. Even a few lines on the web page may mean many several lines of work behind it. Even when I write this blog I wonder the work the programmers must have made(and the immense database they must be having) to develop blogger.com. Hats off to them(them is not just the people behind blogger but all such great sites).

How great it feels being able to decipher
that what goes behind a web page today

because now, even I'm a web developer
and its not just coding but smart coding is what I'll say

Now that I myself have written some codes
I now see fun in viewing the page source
but sadly I then realise that since I don't yet know hoards
a part of it seems to me like a code in Morse

In my past I thought that all this is a creation of HTML
but after learning different things now i see
that HTML alone is useless and we need JAVA and SQL
or maybe XML, AJAX, CSS or PHP

Although I've done a lot now but its still not enough
Its not a child's play as I once thought
doing scripting and validation can be really tough
especially when you keep getting errors long and short

I think there's not much more to say than to do
if you also like coding then this art you should learn
its not really easy as I've already warned you
but it will definitely be exciting and full of fun

Sandwiched between the jam

Well friends, we usually find jam in a sandwich but on the GT road we find ourselves sandwiched between the jam. After having just returned from such a terrible jam which was worse than usual owing to the wedding season I would like to analyse the disastrous situation on such a national highway. In fact I've thought about it a several times that how does a jam actually start on a road where once the traffic was flowing smoothly. Let me present my views the way I do it......

What exactly is a jam?
To a child it may be an ingredient
used in sandwiches just like cheese and ham
but to most of the Indians today
it is the chaos on the roads that all see
and once you're caught, you're caught I daresay

How to end this nonsense?
A child may innocently say
finish it off in a gulp immense
but for general indian traveler
it is no less than a maze

crossing which is a big adventure

Where does it come from?
A child's view on this will be
that the source is a bottle or maybe a factory
But to most of the people on the street
the origin of this mess is a big mystery
that how do we suddenly have a cars' fleet

Then to these children I explain what's the fuss
that what they mean is the jam we eat
but we are talking about the jam that eats us
Some occurs due the vehicles that get broke in between
some come due to numerous roads conjoining on the same road
all which lead to crowding of cars umpteen

To prevent all this we need to keep our vehicles strong
so that they do not cause others trouble
also try to keep away from driving in ways wrong
we should also make use of public transport more
buses and metros are the best option or maybe pool cars
so that we can reduce these vehicles galore

The words of the little me-2

This post should have come yesterday but the day completely slipped out of mind. This has really upset master Abhishek so I decided to give him his space today at least. So I hand over to a sulking little boy. Hope this will cheer him....

Hi all! I'm कट्टा with bhaiya. He promised me to give his 'notepad' to me every Thursday and he wrote something on it yesterday himself. Though I can see he is sorry and has given me his lappy today but I'm still upset. But I hope you all like this small poem of mine titled 'Nature'

How beautiful is this nature
and is my every illness' cure
My eyes want to see t more
and it is really very pure

Rivers, valleys, trees and hills
and lovely golden daffodils

with fishes that breathe with gills
which are being destroyed because of factories and mills

It gives us enough
to drink and eat
Plants give us food
and animals give us meat

So save this nature
and handle it with care
because it gives us enough for our need
but not our greed

Bye all.

Music

The topic might be looking a bit too broad a topic but music takes me to wonderland and is almost as broad for me as is the real environment my senses percieve. Music is also a reason for me not writing a post yesterday apart from the webdeveloping which continues and a small bout of illness. I've been a bit involved in music today and yesterday(more than normal) just to reduce the stress from webdev and fever. Well let me shed some more light on the relationship I share with music......

My great part of life is devoted to music my friends
Unknowingly somehow the musical notes crept into me someday
Since then I sing and instruments like harmonium I play
I was trained by my musical grandma initially
Class 1 it was when I started my practices officially

I went through musical training at many different places
So my musical journey and growth went thorugh many phases

My journey finally lead me my true guru
Yes! My heart exclaimed because वहां से मेरी तरक्की हुई शुरू

Life took a turn for the best once I found him as my guide
In no time at all a few competions made me swell with pride
Future started seeming much better than my past
Exists something in me that I can showcast

Further in life I matured in music and thought to expand it more
Other instuments like tabla and keyboard as well I started to play
Remaining I do hope to try till on this Earth I stay

Music is now an integral part of me and I drown in it whenever I want
Eases all my stress, sadness and troubles this music god grant

2) A big thanks to Arjun Attam. He today introduced me to the term acrostic which is the style of poetry I sometimes use where the 1st letters of the lines make up something else
3) This post was actually meant for Thursday but I see that it has become Friday by the time I finished :D

Band, Baaja, Baraat

Don't think I'm going to talk about the stupid movie Band, Baaja, Baraat(and its exceptionally stupid actor). What I'm gonna talk about is a bit about the modern Indian weddings. With the advent of the wedding season and having received invitations to a few I will take this post as an oppurtunity to realise the truth behind all the band, baaja and baraat and also see if we can do without it too(which I believe, we definitely can) ......

A wedding is definitely  time to celebrate

but is it necessary to be done this way
in  very lagre farmhouses which are really grand
which holds all type of cuisines
trying to show off their fat pay
cos the so many different foods are not a hit
all people need in the wedding food of chaat or dhoklay

A wedding is definitely a time to dance
but do we need the DJ stage
where for a long time I only see a small dancing boy
and when the gang actually comes
they don't need a floor to expel their rage
i say rage cos they are drunk which
they don't realise will bring down their age

A wedding is definitely a time to have fun
but I think that's what is lacking these days
people take a wedding more as a formality
even the host seems worked up
cos all the time he is on the run
to prove his money's might and display
his love for his daughter or son

A wedding is actually an important day
which was organised much beter in the past
where people actually rejoiced the ceremonies
even though the party was in a house
at least the couple made vows with their true heart
not like nowadays where the bond made with so much show off
sometimes doesn't even for an year last

A wedding should be seen as a day
where the dulha dulhan to each other commit
that forever they will be together
listen to each other is what they'll do
so that the jodi can be a great hit
and the elders shower their blessings
and the friends show their love saying they like it

2) Again my today's post can be very controversial so please forgive me if it hurts someone's sentiments. You can definitely comment if you disagree.

Busy even during hols

All my IIT friends just have one thing to say nowadays - "I'm bored". Strangely I am busier now than in the semester(which is quiet evident from my 7.33 grades :D). In fact I am that busy that I could not even get time to do blogging yesterday. Well, let me tell you all and also analyse mylself what I'm upto these days(besides blogging of course ;))......

Where does my time go nowadays?
A bit goes away in facebooking
cos it has been dear to me always
to do a bit of commenting
and do a lot of chatting

Where does my time go nowadays?
A lot goes away in sleeping cos I need some rest
cos my sleep was never complete in my semester days
cos in IIT there's always some or the other test
or maybe we're awake to enjoy in the college fest

Where does my time go nowadays?
Some is also devoted to web development
cos i thought of doing something constructive these holidays
something which will lead to my enhancement
(and also maybe help me during placement :D)

Where does my time go nowadays?
Well I even have music classes to attend
cos music is what I'm passionate about in all ways
play tabla, harmoniuam or maybe get my vocal cords to bend
i even love trying something new like guitar, my friend

Where does my time go nowadays?
I also love to be with my friends and hang out
cos even if with them I have had some frays
they will still be my buddies for life throughout
and on this fact I don't have any doubt :)

Where does my time go nowadays?
the bit remaining goes away towards this blog
cos to keep it running is what my mind prays
for which i need to pen down the thoughts jumping about like a frog
and also try to make some impact to clear your minds of the fog

1) Thanks to my 20 followers for being there for me.
2) I didn't make a new pen name today cos I am really busy these days :P
3) The blog crossed 500 views yesterday. Thanks to you all!!!
But this also means there are many who do come and read my words but neither leave their own words behind nor follow. Well to all such people - "Please do something"
You can atleast take the pain to tick one option where I ask "How were my words?"
4) Web development is really fun but hectic as well

A different world

Well don't think that I'm going to talk about aliens and all, you'll be surprised to know that the world I'm going to talk about is Select Citywalk. With my last visit there being yesterday I couldn't stop myself from writing about it.
In my 1st semester at IIT my visits there have increased manifold and it's like a 2nd world to me. A world of fantasies maybe, where I go to forget all that is happening to me in this world. Above all the PVR there has become a 3rd home to me maybe(the 1st two being Faridabad and IIT respectively :D). So this post is a kind of tribute to this second world of mine......

Where to go, when you're bored?
Select citywalk is the place to be
If your spirits are dampened which once soared
the place will rejuvenate you and make your mind free

Where to go when you are disturbed?
Select citywalk is the place to be
its very aura will make you unperturbed
PVR is always available for movies you want to see

Where to go when you are sad inside?
Select citywalk is the place to be
just let the smell of good foods be your guide
which will take you to the food courts or maybe KFC

Where to go when you're all broken?
Select citywalk is the place to be
even if you have no money, even then
just being there with friends can turn you hearty

Well then, where to go when you're happy?
Again select citywalk is the place to be
this time to celebrate and spend some money
for your friends who even came there with you when you were uneasy

A 7 point someone...

Hey readers!!! Its finally official now. I'm just a 7 point someone in my very 1st semester at IIT :(
The time has finally come when I do need to lament about my messed up grades and take a lesson from them and also vow to study and score more in the semesters to come......

So here's where my 1st sem comes to an end
To being a 7 pint someone is where I've fallen
Uselessly I have wasted my time in bakaiti
Don't know how did this to me happen
You please console me and pray for the future of me

My god, I say a sorry to you as you did a lot for me
After all your blessings and help that brought me to IIT
Naive I was to have wasted this golden oppurtunity

Some time I should have spent studying
Tutorials should have been completed on time
Understand I do, after this deadly सत्ती
Doing studies is much better than writing this rhyme
You all can see that now, even the poem's asking me to study

PS- I do hope I study and score well next semester. Your blessings are extremely essential for that to happen.
All those atthis and nehlis please help me out to do well next semester and the others please take an inspiration from this poem.

The words of the little me-1

Every Thursday this month I will lend my 'casual notepad' to the little boy of class 6th जिसके दिमाग में कविताओं का कीड़ा था. So please bear with him and his childish poems and now I have to take leave and over to master Abhishek who is jumping around to grab the lappy....

Hi all! I am a 10 year old small boy come here to entertain you all. I love writing poems and would like to thank my mam for encouraging me. Hope you all enjoy my works. Based on the post made yesterday on this blog I would like to post the following poem titled 'Prayer is Power'

Prayer is power
we can do it anywhere, anytime
in the temple or on a tower
when the church's bells chime

Some pray for health

some pray for wealth
some pray for daughter and sons
early in the morning, under the shining sun

You maybe grant
the thing you want
if you chant
your prayer with heart

So remember to say a prayer
at every layer
of your wonderful life
with your children and wife

Bye all.

Is someone there???

Disclaimer- All the views today are solely my own and I am not representing any group or sect. Forgive me if it is against someone's beliefs.
Today's post may be a bit controversial but I am burning to discuss my views on this since a long time. It has its base in the in-numerous discussions I have had with my friends(mainly vibhore) on the existence of a universal power ie God.
Healthy comments are invited as I would like to hear people's view on this at large...

God is there or not is what everybody asks
Of course he's there is what i say and add that
D God is responsible for all the unbelievable tasks

God is not there is what some say
O' god where has the world come to today
D search for logic for everything is making everyone's minds sway

Gone are those days where all used to worship
Of everything there is a science now
Demanding for answers at finger's tip

Grave is what I call the situation
Of all the unbelievable situation I give them to explain
Drastic answers they give with full preparation

Given the situation of this unlimited biodiversity
O' lord theory of evolution is the reason they say
D 1st organisms being the small microorganism city

Girls and boys even have an answer for those organisms' existence
O' mighty the reason is the big bang as per them
Devilish which was as per me(no offense)

Glad with themselves though they maybe
Of the very main question even
D brainiest cannot answer me

Groping for words is all they can try
O' people no one has got a reason for the 1st speck of energy(that caused the bang)
Diminished they then feel and begin to cry

Glory of God then enlightens them and they admit their fall
Of course there exists an inner energy they finally agree
Dwells someone something which powers all

God is someone who they say they never have anywhere
O' मेरे भगवान its then that I smile to myself
D mighty lord is everywhere as one can see even here
